4th IAPCO & LCE Collaborative Event takes place in Munich

From March 25–27, Munich became a meeting point for international exchange, fresh perspectives, and meaningful dialogue as members of the International Association of Professional Congress Organisers (IAPCO) and the Leading Centres of Europe (LCE) gathered for a dedicated workshop on Negotiating and Influencing Skills.

LOCATIONS OF MESSE MÜNCHEN was pleased to host this inspiring event and welcome participants from across the industry in order to learn and collaborate.

Led by experienced communication and negotiation experts Andrew McFarlan and Colin Harper from Pink Elephant Communications, the workshop explored how successful negotiation goes far beyond tactics and persuasion. Through interactive sessions and open ongoing conversations, participants reflected on how authenticity, trust, and emotional intelligence shape impactful communication and long-term professional relationships.

A central theme throughout the program was the importance of perspective. In today’s fast-changing environment, effective influence is not simply about delivering arguments, it is about understanding different viewpoints and eventually creating genuine connections.

Beyond the workshop sessions themselves, the event also created valuable opportunities for personal exchange. Conversations continued in a relaxed atmosphere during a traditional Bavarian dinner at Nockherberg, strengthening both professional connections and shared inspiration as well as passion.
