Third IAPCO & LCE Collaborative Event takes place in Vienna

From 26–28 March 2025, the Austria Center Vienna was proud to host the 3rd joint senior leader workshop co-organised by the International Association of Professional Congress Organisers (IAPCO) and the Leading Centres of Europe (LCE). This dynamic gathering brought together 20 senior professionals—10 delegates from IAPCO and 10 from LCE—for 2.5 days of in-depth learning, peer exchange and collaborative development.

Building on two successful years of exploring business models and strategic collaboration, this year’s workshop shifted the focus to a key leadership skill: Storytelling & Effective Communication. In an era where impact, clarity and authenticity matter more than ever, the workshop was designed to equip participants with the tools to craft compelling narratives, express their industry’s value using both stories and data, and engage with stakeholders effectively—even in high-pressure settings.

Over the course of two interactive days, participants explored the fundamentals of effective communication—learning to speak with clarity, empathy, and confidence, while using strong body language and voice. Working in pairs, they developed and refined a shared industry narrative that combined personal storytelling with data-driven messaging. On Day Two, the focus shifted to resilience under pressure, as delegates practiced handling tough questions and navigating challenging stakeholder conversations, gaining the tools and confidence to communicate with impact in any setting.

The programme was expertly led by the team from Pink Elephant Communications, whose interactive methods inspired deep reflection and practical skill-building.
