Celebrating Kingsday with Leading Centres: A Memorable Event at RAI Amsterdam
In April 2023, guests and members of the Leading Centres of Europe were treated to an unforgettable experience in the vibrant city of Amsterdam. Hosted by RAI Amsterdam, the event was a celebration of culture, camaraderie, and connection.
The guests were first welcomed in style at the nhow Amsterdam RAI hotel by drag queen Pam Pam. Afterwards, the members traveled to Amsterdam-Noord for an impressive immersive 3D flight through the Netherlands followed by a delicious dinner.
The next day was dedicated to the celebration of the Dutch national holiday Kingsday. Firstly, the participants took part in a challenge at the flea market, followed by a nice boat trip where the guests could witness how all of Amsterdam literally went mad on the streets and on the water alike. The day concluded with a great finish in the evening, where attendees danced and cheered on the premises of the RAI, diving into the Kingsland festival.
As the day unfolded, friendships were forged and memories were made against the backdrop of RAI Amsterdam’s iconic venue. The evening culminated in the exuberant Kingsland festival, where attendees danced and cheered, reveling in the spirit of the occasion.
The event concluded with a breakfast session the next morning, where the winner of the fleamarket challenge was revealed. An optional site visit to see RAI Amsterdam was offered to the attendees who still had some energy left.
Reflecting on the experience, attendees expressed their delight and appreciation for the opportunity to connect with peers from across Europe’s event industry.
Oliver Heinke, Director at Interplan, said: “Long time it was that I had so much fun on a trip like this really! I met so many nice persons, all peers from different countries working for PCOs, event agencies and venues. Another proof that I am in the right industry. Keeps you young :-)”
Nivi Packiahrajah, Marketing and Social Media Executive at Sleek Events, remarked: “I had a lovely few days out there and I got to meet a group of fantastic individuals.”
